Twinkles Beauty: Shop Products for Acne Prone Skin

Acne-prone skin is one of the most misunderstood skin types in the world of skincare. It is often treated as a temporary condition to be fixed instead of a skin type to be managed with care and consistency. Consequently, many people reach for the harshest products available, strip their skin bare, and wonder why the breakouts keep coming back. The cycle is frustrating, and it is entirely avoidable with the right information and the right products.

Acne prone skin produces excess sebum, experiences frequent clogged pores, and reacts poorly to the wrong formulations. But it is also capable of being clear, balanced, and healthy when given a routine built around its actual needs. That routine does not have to be expensive or complicated. It has to be right.

At Twinkles Beauty, founded in Ghana and now operating across Nigeria with delivery reaching customers in the US, Canada, the UK, and many more countries worldwide, the goal has always been to make effective skincare accessible to everyone. For those managing acne prone skin, Twinkles Beauty stocks a carefully selected range of products that address the root causes of breakouts without breaking the budget.

Skincare Products for Acne Prone Skin

Building a routine for acne prone skin is about balance. The aim is to clear congestion, control excess oil, and heal existing breakouts while keeping the skin barrier intact and well moisturized. Every product in the routine plays a specific role.

Salicylic Acid Cleanser

Cleansing is the foundation of any acne routine, and for acne-prone skin, a salicylic acid cleanser is one of the most effective tools available. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, meaning it penetrates into the pores and clears out the sebum and dead skin cells that cause blockages. Used morning and evening, it keeps the pores clean and significantly reduces the frequency of new breakouts over time. The formulation should be gentle enough not to over-strip the skin. Tightness and dryness after cleansing are signs that the cleanser is too harsh and will ultimately worsen oil production.

Alcohol-Free Toner

After cleansing, a toner helps rebalance the skin and prepare it for treatment products. For acne prone skin, an alcohol-free toner with ingredients like niacinamide, witch hazel, or tea tree extract is ideal. These ingredients calm inflammation, tighten the appearance of pores, and control excess oil without causing irritation. Toners with high alcohol content should be avoided entirely as they disrupt the skin barrier and trigger more oil production in response.

Targeted Spot Treatment

A spot treatment applied directly to active breakouts accelerates healing and prevents further inflammation. Formulations containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or sulfur are well established for this purpose. Apply a small amount only to the affected area after toning and allow it to absorb fully before the next step.

Oil-Free Moisturiser

Skipping moisturizer is one of the most common mistakes made by people with acne prone skin. When the skin is dehydrated, it compensates by producing even more oil, which feeds directly into more breakouts. A lightweight, oil-free moisturiser with a non-comedogenic formulation hydrates the skin without blocking pores. Gel moisturisers are particularly well suited to oily and acne prone skin types. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid and aloe vera for hydration without heaviness.

SPF Moisturiser for Daytime

Sun protection is a non-negotiable step in any skincare routine, including one for acne prone skin. UV exposure worsens post-acne dark spots and delays the healing of active breakouts. A lightweight, non-comedogenic SPF 30 or higher, applied every morning as the final step, protects the skin and supports an even, clear complexion over time.

Clay Mask, Once or Twice Weekly

A clay mask used once or twice a week draws excess oil and impurities from deep within the pores. It is a powerful supplementary step for acne prone skin and visibly refines texture with consistent use.

Twinkles Beauty: Affordable Skincare for Every Skin Type

Twinkles Beauty was built on a principle that quality skincare should be within reach for everyone, regardless of location or budget. Promise Kept, As Yahaya Bello Tackles Insecurity in Kogi

The Kogi State Government has restated its commitment to the safety of lives and property, noting that the administration of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello continues to deliver on its promise to tackle insecurity across the state.

In line with his inaugural pledge to secure every community in Kogi, Governor Yahaya Bello has deployed a multi-pronged security strategy that combines community policing, intelligence-led operations, and sustained investment in security infrastructure.

Key Interventions and Results:

Strengthened Security Architecture: The administration facilitated the recruitment and training of over 3,000 vigilantes and hunters under the Kogi State Vigilante Service. The groups now work in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, NSCDC, and other federal security agencies.

Logistics Support: More than 500 operational vehicles and 800 motorcycles have been procured and distributed to security agencies and community security outfits to improve response time in hard-to-reach areas.

Technology Deployment: Government has installed communication equipment and surveillance systems in identified flashpoints, aiding early warning and rapid intervention.

Stakeholder Engagement: Regular security summits with traditional rulers, youth leaders, and community development associations have improved intelligence sharing and local ownership of security initiatives.

Speaking on the impact of these measures, the Special Adviser on Security to the Governor stated: “The directive from His Excellency is clear. No community will be left unprotected. From Kogi East to Kogi Central and Kogi West, we are seeing a measurable decline in kidnapping, banditry, and communal clashes because of coordinated action.”

Residents in previously affected local government areas including Dekina, Omala, Ajaokuta, and Kabba-Bunu have reported improved confidence in moving freely for commerce and farming activities.

Governor Bello reaffirmed that security remains the foundation for economic growth and social development in the state. “We made a promise to the people of Kogi that security would be non-negotiable. That promise is being kept every day through deliberate policy and action,” he said.

The State Government called on citizens to remain vigilant and to continue partnering with security agencies by providing timely information. It also commended the efforts of the military, police, and paramilitary services for their dedication to peace in Kogi State.

More Than Music: How EHRA Is Building a Legacy Through Afrobeat

EHRA: A Journey of Purpose, Persistence, and Musical Evolution

David Kator Iortyer, professionally known as EHRA, is a Nigerian Afrobeat and Afropop artist whose story reflects resilience, growth, creativity, and unwavering dedication to his craft. Born on August 22, 1998, in Makurdi, Benue State, EHRA represents a new generation of African artists who are blending authentic storytelling with contemporary sounds to create music that resonates across cultures and generations.

Growing up in Makurdi, EHRA developed an appreciation for music at an early age. The rich cultural heritage of Benue State, often celebrated as the "Food Basket of the Nation," played an important role in shaping his perspective on life, community, and artistic expression. While many young people dream of success, EHRA transformed his dreams into action through discipline, education, and relentless commitment to self-improvement.

His educational journey began at Nativity Private School, Makurdi, where he completed his primary education in 2009. He later attended Baptist High School, Makurdi, graduating in 2016. Rather than choosing between academics and music, EHRA pursued both with equal determination. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and Human Ecology from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, graduating in 2021.

This academic achievement demonstrates an important aspect of EHRA's personality: his belief that success is built through knowledge, discipline, and hard work. While many aspiring artists struggle to balance education and entertainment, EHRA successfully managed both worlds, proving that artistic ambition and intellectual growth can coexist.

EHRA officially began recording music in 2017, marking the beginning of a journey that has now spanned nearly a decade. Over these years, he has experienced the challenges that every independent artist faces—limited resources, industry competition, and the constant pressure to evolve creatively. Yet these obstacles have not discouraged him; instead, they have strengthened his resolve and deepened his understanding of the music business.

His sound is rooted in Afrobeat and Afropop, genres that have become global cultural forces. Inspired by some of Africa's biggest stars, including Omah Lay, Burna Boy, Asake, Blaqbonez, Wizkid, and Ayra Starr, EHRA has developed a style that combines melodic storytelling, emotional depth, rhythmic energy, and contemporary African influences. While his role models have helped shape his musical vision, he continues to carve out a unique identity that reflects his own experiences and perspective.

His growing catalog includes the EP "FATE", a project that represents both artistic maturity and personal reflection. The title itself suggests themes of destiny, purpose, and life's unpredictable journey-concepts that resonate strongly with EHRA's own experiences. Alongside the EP, he has released several singles, including "Jo Riddim," "Zone," "Nobody," "Your Side," and "Tsunami." Each release showcases different dimensions of his artistry, from infectious rhythms and dance-ready energy to introspective lyrics and emotional storytelling.

Beyond the recording studio, EHRA has demonstrated his ability to connect with live audiences. His performances at events such as the Abuja Food Festival and Gasoline Party have allowed him to share his music directly with fans while building his reputation as a dynamic performer. Live performance is often the true test of an artist's ability, and these appearances have contributed to his growth as an entertainer and stage personality.

One of EHRA's greatest strengths is his versatility. In addition to being a recording artist, he is also a Mix and Mastering Engineer and a Video Editor. These skills give him a unique advantage in today's music industry. By understanding both the technical and creative aspects of music production, he has greater control over his artistic vision. This independence enables him to maintain authenticity while continuously refining the quality of his work.

Currently based in Abuja, Nigeria, EHRA operates in one of the country's most vibrant and rapidly growing entertainment hubs. Abuja provides opportunities for networking, performance, collaboration, and exposure, all of which contribute to his ongoing development as an artist.

What makes EHRA's journey particularly inspiring is not merely the music he creates but the mindset he embodies. His story is one of persistence in the face of uncertainty, commitment to continuous learning, and faith in the power of dreams backed by action. Every song, performance, and project represents another step toward fulfilling a larger vision.

As the Afrobeat movement continues to dominate global music conversations, artists like EHRA are helping shape its future. With a solid educational background, diverse creative skills, years of dedication, and an expanding body of work, he stands as an artist with both potential and purpose.

The next chapter of EHRA's career promises growth, innovation, and greater impact. His journey from Makurdi to Abuja, from student to artist, and from dreamer to creator serves as a reminder that success is not an overnight achievement but the result of consistent effort, resilience, and belief in one's calling.

For EHRA, the story is still being written. Yet even now, his path reflects a powerful message: destiny favors those who remain committed to their vision, regardless of the obstacles they encounter. Through his music, creativity, and determination, EHRA continues to build a legacy that is uniquely his own.
