Pan-African Cultural Tourism Festival to Hold at Uhuru Gardens, Kenya as Official Side Event of Magical Kenya Travel Expo

 

LONDON / NAIROBI – 16 September 2026 – In a major career milestone, Nigerian-British media personality and multi-talented creative, Delight NG Billy a.k.a DJ Delight NGB, has been officially appointed as the Official DJ of the Spirit of Africa Festival 2026.

 

The appointment was confirmed in an official letter signed by the Festival Director, Madam Clara Chinwe Okoro, on behalf of Spirit of Africa Festival, curated by My Beautiful Africa.

 

Spirit of Africa Festival 2026 is a prestigious pan-African cultural tourism festival with the theme "Africa, In One Place" – "The Journey Brings Us Together". The 3-day landmark celebration will take place from 6th – 8th October 2026 at the historic Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi, Kenya.

 

The festival is recognized as An Official Cultural Side Event of the Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) 2026, endorsed by the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB). It is set to host over 6,000+ guests, artists, delegates and visitors from across Africa and beyond.

 

According to the organizers, the festival is a complete immersion into the soul of Africa, bringing together the continent's music, performing arts, fashion, gastronomy, visual arts, heritage, storytelling, innovation, creativity and ideas. It will feature conferences, exhibitions, cultural programming and VIP networking events.

 

In her official appointment letter, Festival Director Clara Okoro stated that DJ Delight NGB's "distinctive sound, energy and ability to connect audiences through music make her an exciting fit for the festival" and that her participation will add an important dimension to the festival experience.

 

As Official DJ, DJ Delight NGB will support the festival's entertainment programme through DJ performances, audience engagement and curated musical sets as agreed with the Festival Production and Programming Team.

 

This historic booking was facilitated through diplomatic and industry collaboration led by Amb. Nnamdi Chukwuka of the State of the African Diaspora (SOAD),Cultural Strategist with Amb. Dr. Jamezany James (Hon) formerly of State of the African Diaspora SOAD, ECOWAS West African Youth Ambassador and Pan-African Cultural Diplomat, and the Festival Directorate under Madam Clara Chinwe Okoro.

NNPC Retail, the downstream retail arm of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, has launched a nationwide campaign to mark Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary. The initiative, tagged "66 Reasons Why We Love Naija," will see the company roll out a series of culturally themed digital content celebrating various aspects of Nigerian identity in the lead-up to October 1st. 

Over the next few weeks, the campaign will spotlight everything from Nigerian humor and slang to the global reach of Afrobeats, the passion surrounding the Super Eagles and Super Falcons, and the vibrancy of Owambe culture. Each post will direct Nigerians to the NNPC Fuel App, which the company says will be central to an upcoming Independence Day announcement.

 

To participate, customers will need to have the NNPC Fuel App downloaded, available HERE.

 

While details of the promised offer have yet to be disclosed, NNPC Retail has hinted at a "surprise" for customers as the anniversary approaches, encouraging Nigerians to download and activate the app ahead of the reveal.
